中国の歴史(れきし)はとても長(なが)いです。5000年くらい前に、漢字は発明(はつめい)されましたから、いろいろな漢字があります。今は、大体簡(かん)体字が使われています。簡体字は、昔(むかし)の繁(はん)体字を簡単にして作られました。そのため、日本語の漢字を読めます。でも、時々話せません。英語の勉強はの日本と同じです、話せる人は少ないです。

When we chose the topic to talk about onomatopoeia in Japanese, we decided to do some “computer” things for it. Actually we really want to make a simple game to help understanding and learning Japanese onomatopoeia. But limited to time and resources, we turned to build a simple but funny website to achieve our goal. And I take responsibility for the programming part using what I have learned as a master student in computer science. Therefore in this report, I want to talk about how I build this onomatopoeia website in a quick way without mentioning too much technological details.

Differences of Japan

There are so many differences of Japan compared with other countries even Asia countries near it. Of course Japan learned a lot from China in ancient times, the most obvious proof is the Kanji in Japanese. But after Japan’s break with China, it seems Japan is on its own way to be a unique country all over the world. Those differences lie in all aspects of Japan [1]:

私は中国人です。だから、中国語を読むことも話すことも書くこともできます。中国の学生は、高校から英語を勉強します。ですから、英語を読むことも書くこともできます。でも、英語が話せません。私は、大学の時カナダに行ったので、英語が話せます。
